The ACCP Board of Regents met last week in Kansas City. Some highlights:
- 2025 committee and task force reports were reviewed by the board and these groups are on-track in the pursuit of their charges. The BOR looks forward to receiving their various deliverables at the end of this committee/task force cycle.
- PRN PAC Captains should look for forthcoming communications from Director of Gov't Affairs John McGlew regarding upcoming PAC advocacy activities, including future PAC Captain meetings. If a PRN has not designated an active PAC Captain to attend these sessions, they're asked to do so by following-up with John.
- See the Call for papers for the Pharmacotherapy themed issue on Enhancing Pharmacotherapy Through AI Applications. Manuscripts are due May 15, 2025.
- See the Call for papers for the JACCP themed issue on Breaking the Cycle: Advancing Substance Use Disorder Prevention, Treatment, and Recovery. Manuscripts are due July 15, 2025.
- The ACCP Foundation's FIT and MeRIT investigator development programs will be held at Univ of Nebraska, June 2-6, 2025. Details, including dates of upcoming LOI and application deadlines are available here.
- The 2025 Virtual Poster Call of Abstracts is open. Abstracts are due March 24 (or April 22 for Student/Resident/Fellow Research-in-Progress submissions).
- The call for abstracts for the 2025 ACCP Annual Meeting in Minneapolis, Oct 18-21, will be issued soon. Abstracts will be due June 15 (July 15 for Research-in-Progress submissions).
- The board engaged in extensive discussion of recent Presidential Executive Orders (EOs) and their implications for ACCP and its members. Government and professional affairs staff are monitoring the issuing and implementation of the EOs and encourage PRN leaders and their members to contact accp@accp.com with questions, comments, or concerns.
- For residents, fellows, and graduate students: explore ACCP's career development resources at ACCP - Residents, Fellows, and Graduate Students.

For Students:
- Round 1 of the 2025 Clinical Research Challenge was completed on Feb 12. Visit the ACCP Student Web Page to see the list of participating teams and those moving on the Round 2.
- Explore the various student career development opportunities offered by ACCP.
- Current P-2 students are encouraged to consider applying for the 2026-27 ACCP Professional Leadership Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE). The application period will be open from August 1 – September 15, 2025.
